Biography

Dr. Shih-Chi Weng is a Principal Environmental Engineer at Brown and Caldwell (BC). Dr. Weng works closely with BC’s drinking water team to support treatment facility projects ranging from planning, bench and pilot testing, process optimization, alternatives analysis, and preliminary design. Prior to joining BC, Dr. Weng served as a Scientist at Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (GCDWR) for 7 years. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Lecturer at Purdue University Lyles School of Civil Engineering before joining Georgia Tech in 2019 as Adjunct Assistant Professor. Dr. Weng received his Master in Environmental Science and Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan and his Ph.D. from Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN). He has over 10 years academic research training in environmental engineering before transitioning to water industry at GCDWR in 2017.
