The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s graduate programs have climbed in national rankings.

In U.S. News and World Report’s 2025 list of the nation’s best engineering graduate schools, Georgia Tech’s civil engineering program is ranked No. 2 and environmental engineering is listed at No. 4.

"It's gratifying to see our national and global recognition continue to grow,” said Karen and John Huff School Chair Don Webster.

Both programs moved up one spot from last year: civil from No. 3 to No. 2, and environmental from No. 5 to No. 4.

Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering was ranked No. 4, maintaining its standing from the previous year. In addition to CEE’s excellent rankings, all disciplines within the College of Engineering were ranked in the nation’s top 10 for the 14th year in a row.
