Ms. Feng Li, a Ph.D. student in CEE's Transportation Systems group, has been selected as an International Road Federation (IRF) Executive Fellow participating in the 2011 IRF’s Road Scholar Program this year in Washington, D.C. Ms. Li is a PhD candidate working under Dr. James Tsai's guidance. She has been working on automatic detection of pavement distresses, including rutting, cracks, and raveling. Currently, her research focus is to develop an automated pavement condition assessment method to detect rutting using emerging 3D line-laser-imaging technology.
