ISC Consulting Engineering A/S contributes to CASE Center GTSTRUDL

In 2011, ISC Consulting Engineering A/S of Denmark made a generous gift in kind of $90,000 to the CASE Center for the advancement of the center's GTSTRUDL® computer software.

ISC, whose activities include process, mechanical, electrical, piping and structural engineering consulting, has been using GTSTRUDL® software for 20 years as a computational tool in connection with a wide variety of projects. ISC has utilized the software to develop several major bridges in Scandanavia, including the Oresund Bridge, the longest double deck cable stayed bridge in the world carrying both truck and rail traffic. The company has used GTSTRUDL® for numerous other major stucture projects around the world including numerous offshore topside, monopole and jacket structures in the Danish North Sea, The Irish Sea, The UK North Sea, the Baltic Sea and in the Persian Golf, as well as a large number of marine structures being part of offshore wind power parks.

The company, which integrates advanced software into its designs states itself as "a beneficiary of truly advanced civil/structural engineering computational technology that has been researched, developed, and implemented into GTSTRUDL computer software by the CASE Center, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology."

The CASE center is comprised of researchers within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and seeks to sustain its position of world leadership in the research and development of structural engineering analysis and design computer software, and to serve as a technological pipeline through which results of structural engineering research and development flow from Georgia Tech to industry, government, and educational institutions in a form which sets the highest standards of quality and performance.

The CASE Center is the largest generator of continuous license income to Georgia Tech Research Corportation of any single product of research at Georgia Tech and is the longest operating research Center at Georgia Tech.
