Fawad Niazi was selected as a winner of the 22nd Annual Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) Georgia Tech Student Paper Competition Award sponsored by SAIC (http://www.saic.com/about/) based on his paper titled "Calibration of hybrid SCE-CSSM analytical model for piezocone penetration in clays."
A total of 105 papers were submitted for this competition which included contributions from all of the Georgia Tech colleges. In recognition of his accomplishment Fawad and his faculty advisor Dr. Paul W. Mayne received framed certificates at the awards banquet organized at the Georgia Tech Hotel on November 08, 2011. Fawad will also receive a $500.00 monetary award.
