With a 48-year career in earth sciences, engineering and construction management, Bill Higginbotham is the chief executive officer of ET Environmental Corporation. His experience lies in a wide variety of markets, including solid waste, industrial, and renewable energy. Higginbotham is a Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, LEED Accredited Professional, and Licensed General Contractor. He is a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Solid Waste Association of North America, and National Waste and Recycling Association.
In parallel with his engineering and construction career, Higginbotham has been an entrepreneur since the founding of his first corporation, Research Energies Corporation, in 1975. After starting ET Environmental in 1993, Higginbotham spent nearly 25 years expanding that business before his next entrepreneurial endeavor. In 2018, he started Higginbotham Strategic Investments, a seed stage private equity company. He is also a limited partner with Shadow Ventures Fund, a notable Atlanta-based private equity firm.
With a desire to share the lessons he learned in both engineering and entrepreneurship, Higginbotham turned his attention to education. At Georgia Tech, he is an instructor for CEE4005: Innovation and Entrepreneurship for CEE Systems.
