Georgia Tech's undergraduate civil and environmental engineering programs were once again ranked in the top five, nationally, by U.S. News and World Report, which issued its renowned college rankings for 2014 this week.
The civil and environmental academic programs at Georgia Tech were ranked #3 in their respective fields.
As always, CEE was in good company.
For the third year running, Georgia Tech's College of Engineering was ranked # 5 overall, and eight of its specialty disciplines were rated in the top 5, including a #1 rating for Industrial Manufacturing and a #2 spot for Aerospace Engineering. Among public universities, Georgia Tech was rated seventh in the nation. Among all national universities — public and private — Tech was ranked #36.
Karen and John Huff School Chair Dr. Reginald DesRoches was pleased to see CEE maintain its strong ranking.
"All of the credit comes back to our students, faculty, staff, and alumni, whose standards for excellence and achievement keep expanding our ambitions as a School," said DesRoches. "We are grateful for the acknowledgement but will continue to push ourselves."
