School of Civil and Environmental Engineering Assistant Professor Jochen Teizer hosted Tekla, Inc. as part of this year's Building Information Modeling (BIM) undergraduate and graduate student presentations. During the semester class, students were asked to address problems within the construction industry that are not being addressed by current technology. The students solved these challenges using Tekla Structures BIM software.
Presentation topics were diverse, touching on Safety Hazards, LEED Analysis, model-based scheduling, construction accuracy, supply-chain management and more. There were many innovative ideas from the students. “We saw a lot of project presentations at Tech, many of which were impressive and a handful outstanding,” said Carl Taylor from Tekla, Inc.
