Teachers, graduate and undergraduate students interested in the energy industry, nanotechnology, and the technology-policy interface are encouraged to attend the Georgia Tech Southeast Regional Energy Symposium (SERES), which will be held in the Klaus Computer Science Building and the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, July 14 and 15, respectively.
Graduate students are invited to submit abstracts to the symposium. The deadline for abstract submission is June 30. The registration deadline for anyone attending the symposium is July 5.
SERES will feature seminars with four renowned plenary speakers: Ian S. Anderson, the associate laboratory director at Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Peter Green, MSE chair at the University of Michigan, Ken Ostrowski, the director of McKinsey and Company, and Esther Takeuchi, MSE professor from Stony Brook University.
There will be a complimentary barbeque and reception for all participants, and several networking opportunities will be present throughout the symposium.
Prizes will be awarded to four posters based upon judging by SERES organizers. The first prize will be $250, the second prize will be $150, and the third prize (awarded to two posters) will be $50.
